The Senators are a good young team, but with the loss of Talbot in net, they've seen their goals-against soar. They are in a back to back situation on the road against the Big Bad Bruins tonight. The Bruins have won 3 straight after a pair of losses, their last win a seven goal savaging of the Sabres. They are almost unbeatable at home, have a pair of shut-outs in their last three starts, and have Vezina-calibre net-minder Ullman likely in net tonight.
The Senators have had little previous success in Boston, and goalie Sogaard has not adjusted well to increase playing time, allowing at least 4 goals in each of his last six starts. The Bruins will be too much for a tired Ottawa team. Take the Bruins on the puck line at -1 1/2.
This is a free play on FLA.
I had the Panthers in their win yesterday, and here is what I said before the puck dropped: "The Panthers are still battling for a playoff spot. coming into tonight's game in the Motor City sitting one point out of the final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference. History favors Florida, as the Panthers are 9-1 in the last 10 meetings, and they have won four of their last five at Detroit." While it is the second game of a back to back, Philly is going through the motions and polishing their golf clubs.

Jesse Schule
Hurricanes -102
Carolina (45-15-6-2, 29-39 PL) is worthy of a free move against New York (41-19-8-2, 35-35 PL).
Carolina has been a solid road team as of late. They've cashed in 8 of the last 11 games away from home as they can put the puck in the back of the net in flurries.
New York has gone just 1-4 in their last 5 against teams with over .600 winning percentages and this is just not a good matchup for them
Some trends to note. Hurricanes are 38-17 in their last 55 vs. Eastern Conference. Hurricanes are 42-19 in their last 61 vs. Metropolitan. Hurricanes are 35-16 in their last 51 overall.
Good Luck, Razor Ray.

Cashed a nice mid-size free pick road underdog winner with the Senators against the Penguins on Monday. But today I'm going the big chalk route laying the road price with Calgary against Anaheim.
Normally I wouldn't recommend laying this high of a number. This matchup is an exception. The Flames check all the boxes. Not only are the Flames superior to the Ducks in every facet - offensive, defense and special teams - but they have tremendous motivation.
Just 11 days ago, the Ducks stunned the heavily home favored Flames, 3-1. It's not just rapid revenge here, though. The Flames were humiliated, 8-2, by the Kings last night. They were never in the game, falling behind, 4-0 after the first period.
It's probably the best thing for the Flames to immediately play again to make amends off that stinker. It's must-win time, too, for Calgary, four points out of a playoff spot with 11 games remaining on its schedule. The rebuilding Ducks already have been eliminated from the playoffs for the fifth season in a row. It's just a short drive from Los Angeles to Anaheim so fatigue shouldn't factor.
The Flames have a much tougher game on deck, a road matchup against the Golden Knights on Thursday. So Calgary should be putting everything into this game.
Nothing is a sure thing as anybody who played Purdue on the money line at 45-1 against Fairleigh Dickinson well knows. But this sure feels right to lay a little more than 2-1 to back the Flames. Road favorites of minus $1.75 or higher have won 72 percent of the time this season in 327 instances.
There are other options, too, to get involved with Calgary without laying this high juice. Taking them to win just in regulation is one way. Another is backing the Flames to outscore the Ducks in the first period. You have to believe the Flames will come out fired up right from the start.
1* FREE PLAY Rangers.
Considering how hot they are right now, having won six of their last seven and four in a row, and also taking into account that they enjoy the home ice advantage, I feel the Rangers offer tremendous value in this spot, despite the opponent. Yes, the Hurricanes are one of the best in the league, but their current form leaves everything to be desired (just 2-3 in their L5, and needed OT to beat the Flyers last time out.) These teams will play again in two nights in Carolina, and I say the home side gets caught "looking ahead;" all things considered, I believe this to be the very definition of "great line value," so consider New York in this one!
